Le Manach and Colefax & Fowler have become, in recent years, the fabrics that I simply cannot live without. Right now, I am totally crushing on Le Manach's Pommes de Pin. To sooth my itch to use it, I am going to put it on a pair of benches in my stairhall under a Jean Michel Frank cerused oak desk that is currently under construction. The colors are perfect for my deep grey-blue chippendale handrail and my Charles Edwards red pagoda lantern.
But, honestly, I am dying to cover an entire room with it - à la française - the walls, the drapery, the bed. I don't think these two benches are going to be enough . . .
