I spied LSD looking fly with her Carolina Santo Domingo Amphora bag during NYFW. I had been considering this bag for a while and had waffled back and forth. Seeing her bust it out in burgundy with cream wool knits and plaid wool trousers really sealed the deal for me. Because I have the Staud burgundy bucket bag (also designed by CSD before she hung out her own shingle), I went black (an item on my "Needed" list any way). And I love it. (It also comes in a Mini).
The bag is a great size and comfortable to carry. Here is what I love most: you can hook it on your forearm when at a party or gathering or whenever you need to keep your hands fee. Wagging a huge shoulder bag around at a party, dinner out, a luncheon, a book signing, or anything other than the everyday slog, can really drag your outfit down. So the size is really everything for day to night, from lunch to dinner.
This other fab bag from Trademark (helmed by Tory B.'s two step-daughters, Pookie and Louisa) has really been giving me the siren's call as well. Not sure that I won't make a second investment. Ochre suede and tortoiseshell is Fall perfection, if you ask me.
And, if you are finding your budge running a little tight this Fall, consider this cutie. No one will know the diff.
