Skirting: The Issue

With less than a month before my vacay rolls into town, I've had to get down to brass tacks on some decisions for packing. I need to streamline, day to night, for every piece that I pack. And, I need to be chic BUT as high on my list these days (and I can't even believe I am saying this but . . .) is being comfortable (SMH) BUT BUT BUT - the two are not mutally exclusive - I swear. It's as simple as a fabulous skirt - paired with a great tee and flats (or chic tennis shoes) for day - that can be dressed up with heels, a fab top, and a clutch for evening.

And, have I mentioned that I am on a major skirt kick right now? Like, obssessed. (But why?)

Intermix, in red and chambray, Jenni Kayne, Lisa Marie Fernandez, Tibi, Coolchange, Ganni, Asos (in green or pink floral) have my favorites right now.

For day-time styling, go for simple tees, such as these by Everlane, Bassike, Pixie Market, or a funky printed one by Re/Done. Your favorite flat sandal will be perf OR a pair of white tennies, like the ones I am dying for from Common Projects. Also, I think you couldn't go wrong with a fab wicker tote like this one or, to be practical, a crossbody, like Bembian's Rose Bag

For evening, I would def do a heel, like something by Loeffler Randall, Alexandre Birman, or Stuart Weitzman. And, I might do something as chic and simple as this one-shoulder tee by Bassike, a camisole, or something frilly, like this by H&M or this by Pixie Market. A clutch is for sure in order, such as one by Mar Y Sol or Delpozo.
