Catherine Deneuve in the scandalous Belle du Jour. Her clothes, alone, are sufficient reason to watch this classic. But, then, it is quite a lesson in the differences in French and American cultures.
One more . . . she looks the most slammin' in the shades. Natch.

Now & Later

So done with winter right now. Feel me? And, then, well . . .we do have a way to go. Here's where my head is at: something fab for now, that will ALSO be fab for later. At least, that is exactly where my head went when I found this Isa dress by Farrow

I am in love with how they have styled it here, with a woolen turtleneck, cropped, straight leg denim, and an Addidas-ish tennis shoe. Perfection. (Is it crazy that I am getting a real Belle du Jour vibe? (In which case, you could just ditch the jeans and tennis shoes and rock a Vivier Pilgram Pump and a fabulous toboggan, instead.)).

But, I also love dreaming of how I would wear the dress for summer -- ditching the under layers, of course. I would definitely bust this dress out to run to lunch, to a meeting, to church, or to a casual but very chic dinner. I think playing up the caramel in the tortoise-shell buttons is the way to go. I would definitely pair it with Hermès Oran Sandals, a Staud Macramé Bucket Bag, the Céline Swirl Hoop earrings that haunt my dreams every single night, a bronzey-nude lip, and some fabulous tortoiseshell, cat-eye sunnies. People would see you coming from a mile away. #fab
